In early July we attended the Galician Day of Cooperatives 2018 at Porriño. Here, we received the Best Business Development Award in a great year for the Cooperative in every way possible.
With the theme “Sustainable consumption and production through cooperation”, the Cooperatives Day’s aim is to move forward towards the goals for the sustainable development established by the UN for 2030. One of them is to guarantee sustainable consumption and production, a quality recognised in the gala celebrated on July 7th, to which Concha Iglesias, Cooperative vice president, attended together with some members of Viña Costeira’s board.
In this gala, the supplies cooperative Aira received the award to cooperative values, the As Mercedes de Lugo and Somoeso de A Coruña Professional Training Centers received the award “Certame Cooperativismo no Ensino” and Bico de Grao initiative received the award to “Best New Cooperative Project”.
The event featured representative ceramic figures from Sargadelos and included speeches about Galicia’s growth based on sustainability and authorities attending such as Alberto Núñez Feijoo, Xunta de Galicia President.
