New award for Viña Costeira’s winery, in this case, for Colección 68, one of its most elegant white wines, which was born as a tribute to the founding members in 1968.
Last July, the Berliner Wein Trophy was celebrated, one of the most recognised wine contests in Europe, where wines from a variety of countries compete to be award-winning in front of a panel of expert wine tasters.
This contest holds a special relevance, since it is organized by the International Organization of Vine and Wine (OIV), guaranteeing a fair and deeply regulated competition, awarding the wines that really are worth discovering. In total, over 6000 wines from all around the world were tasted by 190 members of the jury, who considered, most of all, the winemaking process and quality of the wines presented.
This time, Viña Costeira presented to the contest its emblematic Colección 68 Treixadura 2017, an intense and fruity wine whose complexity and elegance was awarded with a gold medal by the jury.
This new award comes as an incentive and a great joy to the harvest season and gives continuity to the ongoing good news that this winery has been receiving these last months, including the Best Winery in Spain award and its 50th anniversary as one of the enotourism referents in Galicia.
